    4. Firing and jail time is too good for these sick cretins...they make me physically sick. How do they treat prisoners and more importantly how do they treat their families??? My dogs ARE my kids and if anyone looked cross-eyed at them.........need I say more?

    5. I read this article and am ill from this. I just contacted the City of Eldon, Missouri and left a message for Mayor Ronald Bly. I was informed by the lady answering the phone that this was an "aledged" act. I want an answer as to what, who is doing something about this. I agree with Linda C., this is UNCONSCIONABLE, and these were police officers acting on behalf of animal services.

  2. Unfreakining believable. This has to be stopped. What is the matter with these so-called officials? What is wrong with these police "officers"?

  3. I wrote a strongly worded email to the mayor, I believe. To sum up I asked why they weren't dog friendly, why no rescues were allowed in, or potential adopters for that matter. I told him that the people who beat the dogs were barbarisms, and the fact they were police officers made it even worse. I also pointed out that if they had known anything about mating animals, they weren't going to get them apart until they were done. I also inquired how the police who beat these dogs would like it if the same thing were done to them ( having their privates ripped off). I pointed out that I thought police were supposed to PROTECT amd serve, with the penultimate word being PROTECT. Protect everyone and everthing. I told him how disgusting this is.

  5. This is one if the most horrific instances of animal cruelty that I have ever heard of. That poor doggie having his privates ripped off!! Those officers should die a slow cruel death, and have their privates ripped off. I am both heart broken & disgusted that there are so many Godless people in this world.

    2. Have you seen what we do to each other lately? http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2013/01/women-set-afire-fight-over-laundry.html and http://www.digtriad.com/news/article/228864/57/Mom-Admits-To-Burning-Sons-Genitals-With-Iron?odyssey=obinsite and http://news.yahoo.com/firefighters-shot-dead-upstate-ny-trap-150346538--abc-news-topstories.html How can it surprise us when it is done to animals? Consequences.

  8. So now when the freaks in the public get done mutilating and torturing animals and the animals make it to the "safety" of a "shelter" the freaks in law enforcement and the freaks who work in the shelters can beat and torture the animals until the animals are taken to be euthanized. The ONLY reason these things keep happening over and over and over and over again is that there are NO CONSEQUENCES for doing it. District Attorneys & Lawmakers- the ball is in your court! Do something! When we animal lovers get our act together and scream long enough and loud enough in state legislatures and local town board meetings that cruelty laws must be strengthened and meaningful consequences be put in place for actions like these is when these kinds of incidents will stop! The ball is in our court too! Are you tired of reading about things like this happening? I know I am. Dogs shot in the face and left in a garbage bag! Puppies set on fire! Horses rendered ALIVE! Kittens hanged in a tree! WE MUST DO SOMETHING! The squeaky wheel gets the grease! Lets get united and DO something together! Remember Michael Vick? A TOP quarterback went to PRISON for what he did because animal lovers united and demanded action. We can do it again! Network! Gather like-minded people together in your town, your state. How long will we sit and sign e-petitions? We need new stronger LAWS!

  9. Just sickens me that they could be so cruel...how terrible can people..HUMANS be??..PLEASE stop this craziness of these sick officers..they need to lose their jobs and seek medical treatment for their actions. NOT any normal human that I know would ever THINK of doing something like this. Remember City Council Members..YOU work for the people..and we are all getting REAL sick of this type of "pardon" when it comes to the animals.

  10. Praying for all the dear creatures at this horrendous place. But we all need to step up and do something. I sit here and cry when I read about such cruelty and hug my own 3 little rescued dogs even tighter. I plan to write, call and email about this shameful action on the part of police officers. I shudder to think what kind of human does this to a helpless animal. They are generally cruel to people too. This place needs to be open for rescue and adoption, now. As for the two who were so brutally beaten and killed, I know they're running free and happy at the Rainbow Bridge, forever free from such pain and cruelty. I've whispered to all my little ones waiting there to look for them and welcome them with love and kisses. I'm no pollyanna. I too am completely outraged and honestly wish for karma to hit these two evil officers really hard. We can't help the two who've already been murdered, but we must help the rest.

    2. Well said Summer. It is 2 very pathetic individuals who did this and I wish they would be fired. This place were fixing to euthanize these poor dogs and that they had to endure such cruelty before hand is sad. You left them alone together when the female was in heat and nature took over and should have just let them have their moment. Get educated about your charges. This incident should severly be addressed and not swept under the rug. Put their pictures out there so everyone knows who was capable of commiting this atrocious act of violence against these 2 animals...

  13. I am hoping that our "civilized" society will become truly civilized someday. If we allowed someone, anyone, to do to the perpetrator what the perpetrator had done, that person would be just as bad as the person who did it in the first place. And society would be just as culpable for sanctioning it. Hefty, meaningful fines (hit them in the wallet, that they would notice - and the taxpayers would benefit) and imprisonment are the consequences of a civilized society. We are not after revenge, we are after punishment, and prevention. Lets take the high road and exact consequences that do not make us as bad as the person who did the deed.

  14. UPDATE..via- Saving Dogs Of Missouri
THANK YOU TO ALL OF OUR FB FANS...THE MEETING AT ELDON WAS A HUGE STEP TOWARDS SUCCESS. IT WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED IF IT WERE NOT FOR YOU! SEVERAL CONCERNED DOG LOVING CITIZENS AND RESCUES FROM ALL OVER THE STATE ATTENDED AND EXPRESSED THEIR CONCERN AND DESIRE TO HELP THIS RURAL POUND IN GETTING DOGS INTO GOOD HOMES SO THEY DO NOT HAVE TO BE EUTHANIZED. SEVERAL OFFERED HELP, EXPLAINED WHAT RESCUE WAS ABOUT AND WHAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN TO MAKE THIS AN ANIMAL FRIENDLY CITY FOR THE TOWN OF ELDON. THE MAYOR STATED THE HIGHWAY PATROL WILL BE INVESTIGATING THE INCIDENT. DISAGREED AND SAID THERE WAS NO ABUSE WHICH THE PEOPLE DID NOT ACCEPT WHEN THEY KNEW THERE WAS INJURY TO THE DOGS AND THEY WERE EUTHANIZED. BUT FOR NOW, WE WILL MOVE FORWARD WITH THE CITY OF ELDON AND EXTEND OUR HANDS TO MAKING THIS CITY POUND A BETTER PLACE FOR DOGS. AS OF TONIGHT UNTIL ALL ORDINANCES COULD BE WORKED OUT IT WILL BE "NO KILL." THE FACILITY WAS OPEN TONIGHT FOR ALL TO SEE. SAVING DOGS WANTS TO THANK EVERYONE FOR HELPING MAKING THIS HAPPEN! GOD BLESS YOU ALL FOR STANDING UP FOR THE ANIMALS.

  15. This makes sick to know that officers did something like this. That was completely uncalled for. The offiers need tortured for this. I don't understand how anyone could beat on a dog.
