WE ARE ALL -PUPPY DOE!

WE ARE ALL -PUPPY DOE!

WE HAVE THE POWER TO CREATE CHANGE FOR THE ANIMALS.
Each year, thousands of animals are victims of some form of animal cruelty, whether it's neglect, forced fighting or abuse.

You can help.
Animal protection agencies rely on the public to report cases of animal cruelty in order to act and protect those who can't stand up for themselves. By staying aware and watching for signs of abuse, which can include open wounds, extreme thinness or pets that are kept tied up outside for long periods of time, and reporting any instances, even anonymously, we can stand up against animal cruelty.

In Puppy Doe's name let's end animal cruelty and do all that is possible to help the animals in our community live happy, healthy lives.

To that end, pledge to:
- Learn to recognize animal cruelty.
- Report animal cruelty.
- Set a good example for others.
- Fight for the passage of harsher anti-cruelty laws.

WHO DID THIS TO PUPPY DOE?
Dog Tortured and Beaten Daily-Tongue Spliced In Half Like A Serpent.

On August 31, 2013, a 1 to 2 year old female dog was found near death in Quincy, Mass. around Carrolls Lane, near the campus of Quincy Medical Center and Whitwell Street playground. Quincy Police Department, The Animal Rescue League of Boston and Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey are seeking help from the public in identifying the person or persons responsible for this horrific animal abuse.

According to the Animal Rescue League of Boston's cruelty report posted on Thursday, due to the nature of Puppy Doe's injuries, she could not be saved.

A necropsy performed on Puppy Doe revealed the most heartbreaking short life of an innocent puppy who may not have ever had a happy day. She had been starved, repeatedly abused and tortured. There had been multiple broken bones by being pulled apart, stab wounds to her eyes, and a particularly disgusting serpent like split cut into the puppy's tongue.

Her bones were calloused from repeated blows to her head, and her back seemed to have been hit with a baseball bat.

Dr. Martha Smith, of the Animal Rescue League of Boston, told the Boston Herald this was the worst case of animal cruelty and abuse she has ever seen. Dr. Smith stated:

“She was a rack of beaten bones. Her joints were pulled apart like Medieval times. She was beaten, stabbed, burned over weeks to months and maybe her whole life. And could not walk. When I saw how vulnerable she was and I understood immediately the duration of her suffering, my heart collapsed...The last thing we can give her is justice. We have to weep, because if we don’t weep we become numb.”
Authorities now believe this level of sadistic cruelty may be involving other animals and are pleading with the public to help find those responsible for such a reprehensible deed.

It's too late for Puppy Doe, but there might be other dogs suffering through this same horrible cruelty also.

The woman who found Puppy Doe thought the dog had been hit by a car, but once veterinarians began to examine the kind and submissive pup, the determination was made the puppy would never be pain free.

For her last few hours of her life, Dr. Smith said Puppy Doe was given pain medication, loved with kind caresses, and fed - just to show this poor dog that kindness really existed.

If you have any information, please help Puppy Doe find some justice.
