They were given parole with limitations until their verdict of being deemed dangerous dogs–or not was to be read on Dec 6, 2012. This was such a relief and Edith was overjoyed. Happiness and relief that her two gentle giants were coming home. Edith and Jacques fought the CVRD every step of the way as the CVRD and the neighbours tried to have these two dogs put down. Neighbours ganged up and spoke of death wishes for the dogs publically and in court–and yet Edith didn't give up. She held her head high and trusted that her dogs would be found innocent. Edith had not seen her dogs since January 2012 and yet everyday was spent yearning–begging for their return–Edith lived long enough to get her babies temporary reprieve from their solitary confinement at the SPCA (who housed these dogs for the nine months) they had been locked up in different cells denied contact with their owners and each other. Tragically Edith was hospitalized prior to their homecoming–The fight she fought so hard for, the tears she cried, the nights she cried out–please let this stop were not enough and Edith could not hang on any longer. The stress was too much, the agony of loss a cross to heavy to bear. The heart of a mother broken by frustration, pain, loss and agony a heart that stopped beating and thus leaving us to finish her mission and bring these dogs home for good. Edith died with her husband Jacques by her side–knowing that she had done what she could and trusting Jacques and his supporters to finish her mission...so let's make this happen! VIDEO LINK.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3dV93VVUaY&feature=youtu.be This video is dedicated to a true warrior - EDITH MANSEAU whose dogs were taken from her on January 26th 2012. They were seized under the dangerous dogs legislation, and deemed vicious. Edith fought long and hard for 9 months for her babies' freedom. Sadly, Edith's fight ended when she passed over on October 29th, 2012. Those of us left will continue to fight for Chum and Champ until they are free for good! These dogs are nothing but loving, gentle and loyal. Rest in peace dear Edith. Many thanks for taking action - JCv AAA DEC 6TH UPDATE!!
