What You Can Do To Help Stop Animal Cruelty and ways to help...


Have you ever been witness to animal cruelty? ..and didnt know what to do.?

There are important ways that you can speak up about what you've seen.

1/ Get Help! If you see someone hurting an animal. Or ..you know of an animal who that looks sick, is injured or doesnt have enough food, water or shelter, you can do something about it.

2/ Never try to help the animal yourself. Call the police or your local animal shelter. It's very important to tell the police because animal cruelty is against the law.
3/ Write Everything Down! Be prepared to give information on the cruelty act you witnessed. Write down what you saw happen, who was involved, the date of the incident and where it took place.

4/ Be a responsible pet person! Don't let your animals roam around free. Keep cats indoors. Dogs should always be on leash and they need supervision when they're outside.

5/ Show others the right way. Be kind to animals and others will copy. Tell your family, friends, and everyone you know that hurting animals is not the right thing.

6/ Volunteer Your Time to help an animal! You're never too young to volunteer. Contact local animal shelters or the humane society for volunteer programs.

7/ Spread the Word around! Share facts and info about the prevention of animal cruelty and responsible pet care with your friends, family, teachers, neighbors and classmates.

8/ Start an Animal Club! With the help of animal loving friends, you can organize an animal lovers' club.
