Support for Herbie Stretches Worldwide..

LORAIN, Ohio — Beaten. Neglected. Starved.
That’s how all of us were first introduced to Herbie, a dog found barely alive on December 2.
The pit-bull mix was spotted on the tree lawn of an abandoned home on West 11th Street in Lorain, by Patrolman Rick Broz. Herbie was excruciatingly underweight, blind in one eye and had a fractured skull.
Thanks to the love and support of people all over the world, the pup who never gave up, has made unthinkable strides towards a more comfortable life, despite doctors’ recent discovery of inoperable cancer.
Herbie’s story has helped to catapult a much-debated issue into the spotlight: the push for stricter animal cruelty laws in Ohio.

    It takes so little to care for an animal. How could anyone let this happen? But it still happens so much.Perhaps it's time to have a how to care for animals in our school system.

    Give me Herbie I will care for him even if he has cancer..I will show him love and kindness in his last few days on earth. SOB should be dammne din hell for this kind of menacing torture to such an innocent animal created by the Lord.

    It is heartbreaking what some people will do to their animals. Damn them. Thank you to patrolman that spotted Herbie and all those that have cared for him since and highlighted his plight. God Bless You Herbie.

    I swear some people are the worst kind. I am so grateful Herbie was found and is learning love and compassion from good people. Just horrible what he had to go through. Some people deserve every rotten thing they get and I do hope Karma is real. Kisses to you Herbie.

    It really sucks that there are people in the world that would treat a beautiful dog like herbie the way they did. But that is the way of some people, in this world, but there are people who love and treat these helpless animals with love and care, I am very happy that herbie was found and is being given lots of love, so he knows and feels it while he is still in this world with us, with all MY LOVE herbie be well
